This month on Commander Kingdom, we have three returning guests on the show to battle it out. Crim, Ben Ulmer, and Ashlen Rose have all brought their A-game this week, but which one will wear the Commander Kingdom crown? Watch the episode below, and get out our guests’ decklists after the jump.
Ashlen’s Atla Palani, Nest Tender
They say you can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs, and no commander knows that better than Atla Palani. Her activated ability creates Egg tokens that can put massive creatures onto the battlefield when they die. Ashlen has been known to play Eldrazi in Commander, and with this deck, she’s looking to put giant monsters into play early and often.
Ben’s Codie, Vociferous Codex
Codie, Vociferous Codex is an intriguing new commander from Strixhaven; you get to play a five-color deck, but Codie‘s ability can be restrictive. What’s a Dragon-loving player to do? Easy: jam 30 copies of Dragon’s Approach in your deck and put Dragons directly into play. Ben’s playing the meme-iest deck in this episode, and we can’t wait to see it go off.
Crim’s Trynn, Champion of Freedom & Silvar, Devourer of the Free
Crim’s no stranger to tribal decks (he brought Ooze Tribal to his last Commander Kingdom outing), and this time, it’s all about Humans. But this deck doesn’t just care about attacking — Crim will also be sacrificing his Humans for fun and profit. Keep an eye out for cards like Zulaport Cutthroat, Grim Haruspex, Xathrid Necromancer, and Angel of Glory’s Rise.
Chris’s Shadrix Silverquill
Finally, host Chris Cornejo rounds out the table by playing the deck you voted for in our latest Twitter poll: Shadrix Silverquill! Help Chris build his Commander Kingdom deck every month by tuning into our build-along Twitch stream, Crowdsource Commander!
