Dear Card Kingdom Customer,
We have had customers reach out asking if we are still taking orders. The answer is yes, our operations are still operating to meet all your Magic: The Gathering needs! However, due to the current pandemic, we have changed our procedures, and for transparency sake, we want to let you know what that includes.
First, we have shifted our employee schedules to increase social distancing across operations and are having people work remotely wherever possible. Secondly, we have altered our cleaning routines to include surface wipe-down and disinfection every two hours. This is in addition to our nightly full operations cleaning service. We have hand sanitizer throughout the building and all staff are vigilant about handwashing. We also have a plentiful supply of gloves and masks available for all employees. Thirdly, we have added flexibility to our PTO, ensuring that people who are sick are able to stay home (if someone shows up sick, their manager will send them home).
We have implemented these procedures to help create a safer work environment for our employees, and to keep your packages clean as well. We have had no reported cases of COVID-19 among our staff and are monitoring that closely. All precautions we are taking are based on current CDC guidelines, and we will go above and beyond to follow all recommended protocols.
While we are taking every precaution with your order, we also understand you may want to take additional steps. A recent study has shown that the virus can live on packaging materials for 24 hours, and on plastic surfaces for up to 72 hours, so you may want wipe down packaging with a disinfectant cloth, and wash your hands.
Editor’s Note: Effective March 20, 2020, we are also updating our safety protocols around incoming packages. Given what we know about the survivability of the virus on packaging, we will be quarantining all purchase orders we receive for 72 hours after they land in our warehouse. These packages will be held in a secure area and processed in the order received after 72 hours. Once your order is marked as received, you can expect it to be processed within 3-5 days. We appreciate your patience as we take these precautions to protect our employees.
