With News of the Realm, we take a quick look at everything that went on at Card Kingdom, with our friends, and in the Magic world this week! 

Welcome one and all to News of the Realm! Here’s what we and our friends had going on for the week leading up to April 29th, 2022.

Our Friends

The Professor talked Arena with Pleasant Kenobi on Dies to Removal, looked at what New Capenna had to offer Pioneer, discussed the New Capenna Commander decks, and had some thoughts on the new Arena Wildcard Bundle.

Loading Ready Run cracked packs of both “Kaldhiem” and Unstable, ran a $20 LGS Friday Night Paper Fight, drafted some Tinkerer’s Cube, and recapped the Pre-Prerelease.

Numot drafted a frankly astounding amount of Streets of New Capenna, and also a healthy helping of Tinkerer’s Cube.

MTG Goldfish played with Pioneer-legal only cards in Commander Clash, and discussed the 10 best cards from Streets of New Capenna.

GLHF kept up with the Upkeep, gave their first impressions of SNC, looked at how SNC cards would hit Oathbreaker, and recapped their Prereleases.

Mountain Man Magic drafted some SNC, and gave their thoughts on the New Capenna Commander decks.

Nizzahon reviewed the bombs and Commons & Uncommons of Streets of New Capenna, drafted the set a couple times, deck-teched Aphemia in Historic Brawl, and listed the Top 10 Best 3-mana 4/4s and Worst 3-mana creatures ever.

Card Kingdom

Scott dropped an Upgrade guide to the Bedecked Brokers Commander Precon deck.

Chris looked at how one could upgrade the Cabaretti Cacophony Precon Commander deck.

Tom gave us an upgrade guide for the Maestros Massacre Commander Precon deck.

Mason gave us some deck lists for the new Explorer format on Arena, and a few decks across multiple formats with Streets of New Capenna cards.

Michael updated his Modern Tier List.

We ran through the rules and workings of the Blitz mechanic. 

From the Borderlands

Hipsters of the Coast looked at how Explorer will lead to Pioneer on Arena.
